“The internet has eliminated the need for cookbooks! Why use a cookbook when you can just look up recipes on your phone?”
I hear this often, not just about cookbooks, but books in general. However, people still love books, especially a nice cookbook. In fact, people have been cooking with them since 1700 BCE, when clay tablets were discovered that contained a stew recipe.

So Many Cookbooks!
The funny thing about cookbooks is that people tend to have just a few, or enough to form a small library. There is no in-between. So, between the few cookbooks we get with every book-pickup, plus the full-sized collections we’ve had bestowed upon us, we have enough to run a special “Cookbook Only” sale.

The Sale
The sale will have a great mix of vintage & modern bestselling cookbooks. There are quite a few books on French cooking, some even geared towards culinary professionals.

There will be regional cookbooks focused on the Southwest and parts of the country. Expect to find most any niche, such as vegan or candy-making.
What to Expect
The sale will be outdoors, but shaded. You can always check our hosting bookstore if you need to cool off. A limited number of shopping bags will be available, so bring your own if you have them.
The preview sale, located at 300 W. Apache Trail on Friday, June 5, from 5 pm-7 pm will have everything priced at $4 or less. All cookbook prices will be lowered by $1 on Saturday, June 6, from 9 am-12 pm. We’re are always accepting donations, so bring any to the sale or fill out this form to schedule a free pickup.

Whether you buy books from the sale or bring us donations, we thank you for helping us keep books out of the landfill. Sign up for our newsletter to always be informed of upcoming sales.
