Thank you to everyone who attended our first parking lot book sale in March. Many of you drove in from out of town and left with piles of books. Some of you stumbled upon the sale and were pleasantly surprised. The end result was over 2000 books kept in circulation at a very low cost.
We Support our Community
We also donated a portion of the leftover books to organizations in need, including a small school and a “Little Free Library” distributor. Sale proceeds were used to pay local teens who helped set up, tear down, and check out customers. The sale wouldn’t have been possible without their help.
The Plaza in Apache Junction
Thanks to all the businesses at The Plaza for supporting this event by posting flyers and sharing on social media. Special thanks to The Treasure Box 2 for lending us shopping carts. We had customers fill up multiple carts both days of the sale!
We’d hoped to provide shade for a comfortable shopping experience, but the high winds over the weekend made that difficult. We hope to find a solution for the next sale.
Watch for the Next Sale
If you attended the sale but didn’t find anything of interest, please come again in the Fall, as we will have 100% fresh inventory. We acquire collections from all sorts of interesting sources, so you never know what you might find. Sign up for our newsletter to stay informed of the next sale.
